BARPETA: A vehicle loaded with urea for government aid was seized at Chenga in the Barpeta district on Thursday.

A Mahindra pick-up van (AS 01 LC 7318) laden with urea for government aid was seized by the locals at Chenga. The van had 80 bags of urea. It was going from Bahari to Barmara at Chenga. People seized the van and later handed it over to Tarabari police station at Bahari. The urea was collected from a shop in Bahari Bazar. When police checked, the shop owner could not produ ce any valid documents. Police investigation is on.
